I’ve never received Energy Healing or Reiki before.
What should I expect?
You don’t need to know anything about Energy Healing or Reiki to receive it. These sessions are gentle, safe, and beginner-friendly. Whether in person or from a distance, you’ll be invited to rest, breathe, and receive. Many people feel relaxed, lighter, or deeply calm, but every experience is unique.
What’s the difference between remote and in-person sessions?
Both are equally powerful, just experienced a little differently.
In-person sessions are held in your home and include grounding tools like crystals, herbal smoke, and aromatherapy, and are hands-on (or just above the body). These are ideal for women wanting embodied support and sensory connection.
Remote sessions are beautiful for those who prefer healing in their own space. We begin with a phone call, then you settle in while I send Reiki from afar. The energy flows just the same; time and space do not limit it.
For both session types, you'll receive follow-up instructions by text or email.
I am not sure what I need. Is that okay?
Absolutely. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Many clients come in simply feeling stuck, tired, emotional, or curious. Reiki meets you where you are and gently supports whatever you are ready to release or receive.
What’s the best way to prepare for a session?
There’s nothing you need to do. Just come as you are. If it is a remote session, try to create a quiet, comfortable space where you won't be disturbed. Cozy blankets, music ( we usually sync our music choice up so we listen to the same music for the session) , or dim lighting can help you drop in, but are not required. The most important thing is allowing yourself to rest.
Are Energy Healing and Reiki
replacements for medical professionals?
No. Energy healing and Reiki are not replacements for medical professionals. They are complementary practices that can gently support your well-being alongside any medical care or treatment you may be receiving.
What are Chakras?
Chakras are energy centers within the body. Each chakra governs one or more regions of the human anatomy and plays a role in the flow of life-force energy throughout our system. When chakras become imbalanced or restricted, it can contribute to physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual disruptions.
The chakras support three primary types of processing: Physical processing, Psychological processing, and Spiritual processing.
In my practice, I primarily work with the widely recognized 7 -chakra system, as it offers a clear and accessible foundation for understanding energy in the body.
At the same time, I honor that chakra systems are rooted in diverse cultural and spiritual traditions, many of which recognize additional energy centers beyond these seven.
While the 7-chakras serve as a primary framework in my work, my approach is not limited to them. I remain open and responsive to the full energetic field, allowing each session to unfold intuitively based on what is present and needed.
The word chakra originates from Sanskrit, where it is traditionally pronounced “CHUH-kra.” In many Western spaces, you may also hear “SHAH-kra”, which has become a more commonly used variation.
In my work, I use the pronunciation “CHUH-kra” to stay rooted in the word’s original linguistic tradition while honoring that both forms are widely recognized and understood.
What is Life-Force Energy?
Life-force energy, also known as Prana, vital energy, or spirit energy, is constantly flowing through and around us. It is the animating force that supports life and movement within all living things.
What is the Auric Field?
The Auric Field is a seven-layer energetic field that surrounds the body and corresponds with the chakra system. Each layer plays a role in processing and relaying energetic information between ourselves and the world around us.
When we care for the health of our auric field, we often experience improvements physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually
During my healing sessions, I work within these energetic layers to help cleanse and rebalance them. Many people are surprised at how much energetic “muck” they may be carrying that can feel heavy or draining over time.
What causes chakra imbalances?
The human experience contains many factors that can disrupt healthy chakra function.
Two of the most common contributors are poor energetic hygiene and trauma.
Trauma can create what are known as energetic blocks.
These blocks may cause chakras to slow down, speed up, distort,
or in some cases, stop moving life force energy efficiently.
Starting with the Root Chakra
As you explore the chakra system, you may feel drawn to work with different chakras at different times.
Each one governs important aspects of our human experience. However, it is essential to begin with the Root Chakra.
The root chakra acts as your energetic foundation. Working with higher chakras without first establishing grounding can increase anxiety and emotional instability. In extreme cases, it can contribute to spiritual disorientation.
When the root chakra is supported and balanced, it provides stability, grounding, and clarity.
This foundation makes deeper inner healing work much safer and more sustainable.
Developing a healthy relationship with your root chakra allows you to ground yourself when working with the higher chakras, which helps prevent becoming overwhelmed or lost during the healing process.
